I Know Who Can...
His friends brought him down so that he could get healing
physically. But I want you to catch something in verse 20. It
says seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, “Young man,
your sins are forgiven.”
20 Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man, “Young man,
your sins are forgiven.”
Jesus speaks to his need before he spoke to his want here!
See, a lot of us are asking for things that we want, things that
we desire. Here, Jesus is offering this young man complete
wholeness. He says: Young man, your sins are forgiven! You
are forgiven for the things that you have done and believe in
that are not like me. He spoke to the eternal him, he spoke to
the inward parts of him that no one else had seen. When
people saw this man, all they saw was his outward
appearance, his condition, him being paralyzed. They didn’t
see his sins, they didn’t see his hurts, they didn’t see the pain
that he was dealing with mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
But what Jesus was doing here was speaking to the unseen.
The broken him!
